$1.5M Revenue Generating Advisors Return to Merrill Lynch

Advisors Another Chevalier and Vance Whitby, who generated more than $1.5 million in annual revenue at UBS, rejoined Merrill’s Denver Mountain Market. According to a spokesperson, the pair are making their return from Swiss-owned wirehouse, UBS. They will report to Jason Edelmann, market executive for the firm’s Denver territory.

The two advisors reportedly oversaw more than $193 million in client assets while at UBS.

With Merrill in the midst of expanding its advisor-ranks, Chevalier and Whitby make two of latest to join the team. The firm grew by 187 advisors during the second quarter. This brings Merrill’s overall advisor headcount to 14,370.

A spokeswoman reported that this is the fifth consecutive quarter of advisor growth for the wirehouse.

FINRA BrokerCheck records show that Chevalier began his career with Merrill in 1994. Whitby joined the wirehouse in 2000 at the start of his career. Both worked at Merrill until leaving for UBS in 2007.

During an earnings conference, Bruce Thompson, Chief Financial Officer at Bank of America said “We feel good about the number of advisors joining us from competitors.”
